We are New Generation

Our portfolio consists of bottles with an edge that stand out from the crowd, challenge perceptions and which are made by inspirational people, forward thinkers, pioneers, that is to say New Generation.

We are a team of expert and passionate professionals inspired by the winemakers and distillers who produce the authentic individual handcrafted bottles that we import. Our Clients

We supply many of the UK’s leading restaurants, bars, hotels and retailers, are proud of our relationships with our clients, and offer an alternative to the status quo.

Our #BurgundyEnPrimeur tasting is going digital this year and today we are highlighting the fabulous work of Benoit Stehly at George Lignier & fils:
The domaine covers 17 appellations over 16 hectares, distributed over 50 parcels of vines, including Grand Cru and Premier Cru appellations.
Benoit Stehly is the 5th generation at the head of the domaine. The wines are fresh and delicate with no big extractions and little intervention in the cellar. His attention is rather focused on the vineyard and especially the old vines which, Benoit believes, give all their character to the wines: “We know how to make good wine from good grapes but we don’t know how to make good wine from bad grapes”.

Champagne Henri Giraud Argonne 2012 Aÿ Grand Cru :
90% Pinot Noir 10% Chardonnay
100% Aÿ Grand Cru
Vinified 100% in new oak
Aged in oak for 15 months
Then aged in bottles

‘Full-bodied, yet so tight, compact, powerful with a solid core of a fruit and a finish that goes on forever. One for the cellar’ J. Suckling 99 points

‘Its singular character and, above all, overall precision and balance make it one of the great Champagnes from this outstanding vintage.’ Decanter 97 points

‘The 2012 Argonne is superb. Silky, nuanced and incredibly refined, the 2012 opens to reveal layers of Mirabelle, dried flowers, orange zest and apricot.’ A. Galloni 96 points

Henri Giraud was established in Aÿ in 1625. Grapes are grown on the chalky slopes of the Montagne de Reims where the House’s long-standing respect for the terroir and organic viticulture mean that their vineyards have zero residue of herbicide and pesticide. Base wines are vinified in Argonne Oak bringing unrivalled richness and depth of flavour. Reserve wines dating back to 1990s from Henri Giraud’s own version of the solera, their unique “perpetual reserve”, are used to add dimensions unreached by other Domaines.

@boekenhoutskloof Noble Late Harvest 2017 receives 5 stars in @wineonaplatter Platter’s South African Wine Guide 2021!
For Noble Late Harvest 2017, grapes were hand-picked in mid-May from a 0.96-ha Semillon parcel which was planted in 1997. The vineyard is situated on the banks of the Franschhoek River with the perfect meso-climate for the proliferation of Botrytis cinerea.
The wine shows a classic noble character yet is very elegant in style and delicate in texture. Fresh white peach, hints of ginger, vanilla bean and fenugreek linger on a vibrant finish.

Corte Vetusto is now the world’s most highly awarded mezcal brand!

It has been recently honoured with another Gold medal from the @theiwsc - this one for the Tobala.

Corte Vetusto Tobala is made 100% from wild tobala agave. Following a natural fermentation it is then uniquely distilled: A first distillation in a copper pot still, the second in an ancestral clay pot still.

In the heart of Oaxaca, Corte Vetusto mezcal is meticulously hand-crafted by Juan Carlos Gonzalez Diaz, a 4th generation Zapotec Maestro Mezcalero.

Coming soon to the UK…

92 points. Tim Atkin MW 2020 SA Report:

“Based on Syrah with the remaining 29% made up of Grenache, Cinsault, Cabernet Sauvignon and a soupçon of Viognier, this deservedly successful Swartland red has built up a worldwide following. Aromatic and supple, it has notes of ginger spice and sweet red berry fruit, a patina of toasty oak and supple tannin. Drinkable young but will develop further in bottle”

Congratulations to Boekenhoutskloof Chief Winemaker Gottfried Mocke who has been named ‘Winemaker of the Year’ in Tim AtkinMW’s 2020 South Africa report.
Boekenhoutskloof was established in 1776. Located in the furthest corner of the beautiful Franschhoek valley, the farm’s name means “ravine of the Boekenhout” - Boekenhout being an indigenous Cape Beech tree. In 1993, the farm and homestead were purchased, restored and a new vineyard planting programme was established.
Gottfried joined Marc Kent’s team at Boekenhoutskloof in 2015 after more than 10 years refining his craft in Franschhoek. His approach is focused on revealing the true identity and character of the terroir of the Boekenhoutskloof vineyards.

Reyneke Chenin Blanc 2019

94 points. Tim Atkin MW 2020 SA Report:

« Part of a superb line up of white wines from Reyneke in 2019, this hails from two old-vine blocks planted in the mid-1970s. Textured, saline and perfumed, with notes of wild flowers and honey, a hint of old wood spice and a textured, salty finish. Effortlessly complex. 2020-25 »

Reyneke was the first organic winery in South Africa to receive a 5-star Platter's Wine Guide and Johan Reyneke is Wine Grower of the Year in Tim Atkin's 2020 SA Report.
